Hi everyone,
Ive been looking in to getting my Ipod connected to my cars headunit but the headunit I have dosn't have an ipod function...
It does have a multichanger function tho...
After looking on ebay I found this thing that you connect your ipod to which it then allows it to be played through your cars headunit instead of a cd multichanger..
After looking i noticed that it allows you to control it all from the headunit which is a function that I dont really need..
Anyway!! To the point, I have a cable that looks like this...

And i was wondering if I could just plug that in to the back of my headunit and control what is being played from my ipod...
Instead of spending 60 quid on a little box..
Cheers!

what headunit is it
the pre outs should connect to the back of the headunit and the other end to ipod
then on your headunit press the source button, but wil be best if you tell us what headunit it is, i mean it should work as it will think the ipod is a speaker i suppose

It should work but using the lead that connects to the earphone port doesnt stay very well and can get a bit crackly when your driving about.
If all your tunes are on your ipod and you cant be arsed to put em all on cd, probably better off getting a headunit that you can get the proper connection to.Keeps your ipod charged up to :y:
Hope that helps.
