anybody else have this problem, when breaking hard it seems like my front drivers/ rear passenger wheels lock up, this make the car try to spin 180, nearly lost it the other night when some tool in a focus pulled infront of me, does this happen to anybody else?? or does anybody know what the problem is??

there was a thread very similar not so long ago mate, more to do with corning grip but what i said in their is pretty much the same as what can be applied to your problem.

Are your tyres a crappy make? crappy tyres have less grip, which is a real sod in this weather.
What were the road conditions? if its wettish on the roads then you're likely to skid a lot more
how fast were you going?
is your car lowered, as this could be adjusting the braking bias - making the rear lock before the front, which is pretty dangerous.

The other night a bunny rabbit jumped out at me I was doing about 60 and instinctively braked hard. No lock ups and very good deceleration. But im using Michelins. I then let off the brake and mowed the rabbit down.

im using michelins and the road was slightly damp, but its opposites that lock, ie front right, rear left, thats whats causing the skid, its takes corners like its on rails so cant be that.

it should lock up mate, VTRs have ABS right????

doesn't mean front left n rear right should lock up though....if they lock up should be front 2

i was asking, not telling!

any car with ABS shouldnt lock up unless u really give it a BIG thud on the pedal....

and saxo are crap anyway, i have 3 :drink:

just realised..... just there to rag around, getting a proper car, german build..... like and audi rs4 or and bmw m6......
