I no the command...
'shutdown m- \\192.168...... -r
But get access denied, do i need to start a service or anything on the remote pc?

would it be "allow remote sharing" or whatever its called, or does that not permit the full on sharing? Firewall, i'll shut up now!

i have remote access onto the machine, i can access all the shares on the machine too.
Just tried to remote onto my desktop but it crashed earlier so i need to restart and cant be arsed to get outa bed and walk over to it
