Hi, i have a ripspeed head unit, plays ipods mp3 etc, and says can plug sub into it.

Do i need to buy new speakers if i put a sub in, or can i just put it in

am thinking of

Alright mate, with that you got the amp with it so you just plop it in ur boot and run the wiring kit (you need to get one of those :) ) through the car, if you leave the front speakers in and then just run power cable from battery to amp, then run audio cable from head unit to sub.... that's it... (easier said than done lol... lots of grommet stabbing fun) but that's pretty much it.... may want to upgrade your front speakers too while you're at it :)

what about a seperate 4 channel amp, and a sub mate, so you can then amp a new set of front speakers :)
