I thought my vts was ok for a 23 year old although this thread has made me wonder.

Dont click if your the jealous type :) (http://bbs.scoobynet.com/members-gallery-5/559898-lets-see-young-generations-cars-if-your-18-25-post-your-car-pics-here.html)

Very nice cars their, they must pay alot on insurance, although my mate only pays about 1500 on his cossie at 20, so not that bad. They are lucky buggers though lol :)

Jealous... kind of.

I could go out and buy a car like that and hell yes i want one. I just cant justify one withmy daily commute to work it wouldnt make sense in my pocket or for the car to be a motorway driveller.

I can afford a VTS.
if they want to blow shed loads of their cash on daft insurance premiums and running costs then fair enough.

not a fan of scooby doos anyway.

Dan
29th December 2006, 00:33
How do they afford the insurance on them, I'd have the sapphire cossie over the scoobys though.

TU-Tuning

scotts
29th December 2006, 00:58
here you go guys read the quote!!!!!
"well i'm 21 and i have the legacy turbo and insurance is only £700 fully comp with 2 years ncb!"

ets2k9
29th December 2006, 00:59
Thats the legacy though,a different kettle of fish to the impreza in terms of desirabilty/theft etc...

scotts
29th December 2006, 01:02
i guess but still thats not a bad insurance price!!!!

Dan
29th December 2006, 01:03
If I hadnt of been banned I think I would of had a similar car now, I just did a quote for me (if i had my license still) on a sapphire cossie, £790 fully comp with tesco.

ets2k9
29th December 2006, 01:05

Dan

just need a licence now :)

Yeah I know lol

Going to see citizens advice and try to contact the dvla to see if I can shorten the ban.

A very good quote which I wish I could take up.

ets2k9
29th December 2006, 01:12
I've never heard of anyone doing that before but good luck, the insurance companies will tell you bollocks to a cossie though when they hear of the ban.

I think most of them have decent jobs to be honest. I don't think many parents would buy their son/daughter an Impreza :P

ets2k9
29th December 2006, 01:14
its not the safest of 1st cars LOL

Dan
29th December 2006, 01:16

I know a few people who have done it through one of the two, obviously contacting the courts etc too. Worth a try though.

I know I'll have to wait another year or so after getting my license back before a cossie or similar is on the cards.

ets2k9
29th December 2006, 01:17
yeah give it ago you have nothing to lose "boom boom"

Sorry I'll leave now.

Dan
29th December 2006, 01:18
I'm not expecting anything to be done but if it can be reduced by a few months it would be a bonus.

Traders insurance or most of the time getting insured on their "older" brothers name.

im asian, i know these things lol.

and i can honestly say atleast half of the scoobies in b'ham arent insured. there are kids who just turned 16-17 driving them about. i know a few lads my age who have got 1.

dont rate them anymore. give me a nissan pulsar/sunny gtiR any day.

i dont mind having a nice normal car and being able to spend money on shit whenever i want. Not every penny going towards a car.
