AS exams part 1 - Motorcycle crash 2 hours before my exam - Not allowed extra time or extra points.
AS exam part 2 - Friend got killed in hit n run the week before - couldnt revise.
Now

naaaa.
Half of uni is learning a crappy subject. the other half is learning to get on with people, socialising, and getting laid.
Every person I've come across who's lived at home, doesnt do well at uni. It can be a funny one living away from home, but it makes you stronger.
There's a staggering statistic that the ones that dont go and socialise and makes friends end up dropping out. Whereas the ones that have made friends do much better.
No one even does a degree solely by themselves... something you'll need to combine brains to complete a coursework.
Also the ones i've come across that lived at home were goons.... not saying everyone is btw.

Basically I live about 300 miles from my uni, I saw it as a chance to live in another area of the country, learn how the poshers live. Also I saw it as a chance to meet new people. also you dont need a car if you're at uni. People will leach off you anyway.
I know I'm banging on about it a lot but I've it a fair bit at uni and if i could reverse back a few years I'd do things slightly differently but on the whole I've smacked it.

you get a loan.
I'm £15k in debt and dont a w**k.
Student loans are the best loans going. Seriously dont let the debt put you off. I hate it when people say that to me, f**king governement. No one should have their education dictated by money.
...and dont worry about the rep mate (i think im doing ok at mo ;))

But bournmouth will never go anywhere, but the chance to go and live somewhere completely random. I know a mate went to Cardiff, loves it :)

btw john... sorry if I've just 'virtual web-style' forced you to do something you dont want to, its really just a recommendation :). I've been very lucky with how uni turned out for me (i could still fail though ), part of it was off my own back, going up to strangers and just chatting - other bits were luck.
I just dont want to see wasted talent.
all zee best.

check out University of Surrey (the union is bloody ace, I've promised Danr and Damo a chance to sample it next semester) if you dont want to be too far away from home: Brighton, Bath, Bristol, London Uni's etc etc.
Dont limit yourself by distance ;)

If i did a 3 year course, i'd be out the other side of uni. I'm 21 still immature as f**k and still feel like im 15.
Also... what about weekends??? you can bop back home on a friday every so often and team up with your mates. You'll have a shed load of intersting uni related maddness to tell them. and you wont be missing out on on the wicked clubs.

Good call man. I did a placement year in Birmingham, I ripped it up. met yet more people. had a phat time, got paid, got drunk, bought a saxo (we all make mistakes). I was looking at my CV earlier and I was thinking how wicked it looks to say I did this, that and other.
