C2 Vts ?

Whats everyones thoughts on C2 VTS? seriously considering getting one myself. Either black or wicked red i havent decided yet!?

There are 2 more special editions coming out end of the month aswell which look rather tasty! Luxury (inc heated leather seats :p ) and a sport version.

I like em. Set of white GT wheels and it would be perfect. I know they aren't as nice as a saxo, but i still think they're sweet looking cars, especially the VT* Models , and the insurance is great on them too, even the VTS is only a group 7 i think ?

have u driven a VTR then adsayer? i have only driven the VTS and for 125bhp they dont feel too quick as id have wanted so id have to get it chipped at least :P

and yeh the white GT wheels are nice, but im more of an aftermarket wheel man myself i think.

think they look quite nice but the vts is a bit of a letdown in terms of speed. the saxo is quicker.......

insurance looks alot more friendly though.....

The VTS isn't too shabby at all... it's obviously not as quick as the saxo with the weight difference.. but you could do alot worse for that sort of money, especially where insurance is concerned. AFAIK it is just a 5 speed manual too, none of that semi auto / tiptonic business or whatever it is in the VTR.

At the time I had a C3. so internally it was the same, (same dash etc)

Biggy was the gearbox, paddle shift is terrible. imagine selecting a gear and reading through lukes progress thread, by the time you'd finished read the thread the box will have just changed gear.

Too much bodyroll, numb feel through the steering wheel (its a progressive PAS system), manual box isnt smooth shifting (thats from the C3 experience btw). alsorts. Seats were pap too

but it did have a nice door handle.

But I wouldnt waste my own cash on one. I dont mind the styling (in fact the citroen have done a bloody good job considering that the bumpers have to made to look shite for some EU legislation thing)... i can just about live with it but I've noticed that most modern small cars seem to lack character.

hmmm seems like all small cars are about 5 times bigger nowadays as well

e.g. gf's mums new fiesta. feels like a merc :S its massive compared to the saxo and there both the same catagory..

(admitted i would rather crash in the fiesta than the saxo.....)

Golf Mk1.... by golf Mk3 they made the polo to fill the void as the golf was getting bigger.

Polo got bigger through the generations, so they made the Lupo to fill the gap

now they've made some other thing.
