induction kit, now airbag warning

hiya,

I have a 1997 VTR and after installing a green cotton air induction kit my airback warning light flashes on the dash after a little high RPM driving, any ideas?

check the clips under the seats are fully pushed together if they are a little loose then the light will come on every now and again

its highly unlikley that its the induction kit as non eof the sensors located anywhere near it have any bearing on the airbag, more vibrations at higher speed may be rattling the clips just enough to break the contact, has happened to me a few times

Happened to me too, light kept coming on and off and then it just stayed on. Had whacked my seats too far back whilst installing neons and because the shitroen people don't install a long enough bit of wire the thing flashes.

It won't pass MOT if the lights on and it costs a nice round £80 at your local smiley shitroen dealers to fix it, if they're the only ones in the area with computer reset facility.

once you reconnect the wires and turn ignition back off the light should stop flashing

aight cheers, got some neons on my sax too, but a smart cat walked in front of the car and i went over it with 2 wheels smileys/smiley11.gif little fucker got his vengance by ripping the far side neon off and amshing it, so ive just got 3 wired up at the minute front back and nearside, after some LED neons now.

LEDs are the way to go, If you've seen my other topics, i'm fitting some. They are the dogs, VVVBRIGHT as soon as the car's back from the shop (fising the power assisted steeering) I'm getting my ass under that car and fitting the bad boys. Pics before donny.
