im just in the process of gettin 16" new alloys fitted on my 2002 1.1forte, i understand that the arches may need sum work doing to them, but what about the suspension??? can i get it lowered by about 40mm?? if so what will i need to buy for that to happen?? what are my options?

You can lower it by 40mm with no problems on 16". Wait for Mark and Scott to reply. They know what you need to buy to make your plan come true smileys/smiley2.gif . You will also need to do a litlle work on rear arches. Mark, Scott, Simo? We need a litlle help over here smileys/smiley14.gif

On a vt model u can lower on 16s wiv 40 profile tyres but as urs isnt i think i will need alot of work on the archers!!

your going to need to do some chopping mate.
Even with no lowering and on 15's the base model need a lip with in the arch bend or cut off, preferably cut, with the 16's you will also need to cut off the rear bumper bracket or at the ver least hit the shit out of it.
Not the worst job in the world at all, just put the wheels on, see where they rub and cut or hammer it out the way.
