There are threads on this but mine is slightly different i think. I get that really annoying tapping or creaking noise when ever i turn, i have tightened the bolts under the carpet on both sides, the drivers side ball joint has recently been replaced and i wont go away. I have had the noise since i got the car about 6/7 months ago. Could it be the passenger ball joint? something else need replacing or oiling? Cheers in Advance REP given

i had same problem and it was the driveshaft gaiter had come loose, and the driveshaft was dry, i temporaily solved problem by shoving more grease into it and tightening the gaiter back on with a clip! see if yours is loose if not try looking if they have any grease in them?

Either that ^^. Or would hazard a guess at wishbone mounts/rubbers

yep, had the same prob until i fitted new wishbones, drop links etc.
failing that, turn the radio up. that helped me drown out all the rattles and creeks :)

It may be the gaiter on the drive shaft actually, citroen hada look at me car once i fitted me new ball joint and said that the cv boot joint needed a new clip as it may be leaking. But i have never seen it leak or any mess, but it could of happened when the driveshaft popped out. How easy is it to put grease in it and a new clip?
What sort of grease? Cheers Fellas!

best way is to have a look at the inside of your alloys, if the boot has come off or has a split, the rotating force when driving will have pushed out some greese and it will be on the inner rim of your alloys.
citroen do a cv boot repair kit, as do many car accessory shops. normally come with a boot, 2 clips and a tube/packet of greese. Any high melting point greese will do really :)
the meltal clips from citroen are the better kind to get as i have found the cheaper ones tend to come loose after a while, just make sure you clean the boot with a bit of turps before fitting the clips, any greese on the outside of the boot will make the clip slide off :)

How much is the kit from citroen roughly? cheers fella! will take a look at it at the weekend when i have some spare time, will also look at the anti roll bar on the passenger side to see if that has come loose. Cheers
