Couple of my really good mates are Auto Electrician's.

They've done it since leaving school, 7 years, and still totally love their work. They get to work on really nice cars, which they sometimes have to deliver. Will never forget when I was 18 and 1 of them took me out in an STi scooby they were working on.

Money isn't amazing, but they get by, and get to play in mint motors all day. I guess it all depends on who u work for. There is always the option of cash in hand work, once your good enough.

It is the same as any job thou, after a while it can become boring, but to be fair it's never going to be as boring as an office job, as there's always a lot of variety in the work.

I'd say go for it. But do remember, I don't think it'll be a job for life, as I doubt cars as we know it will be around in 20 years time. Maybe we'll all have hovercrafts, You never know.

my mums mate does it has his own unit now, hes making a mint at the moment so definately do it, i did my work expierience with him too at school i really enjoyed it and you go all over the place fixing jobs here and there charging stupid money for easy jobs :y:

im going to be doing plumbing at college this year, had to wait a while as theres a waiting list as theres that many people wanting to do it

have you considered doing electrics in houses etc because you probably stand a better chance of a job, any trade like this will earn you a lot of money
