its prob air in your collant system mate, bleed the air out its easy enough to do and will eliminate that its the problem but i am sure it is

The water in the footwell might be either from your sunroof seal or the base of your arial. Its probably not related.

If your radiator is buggered Steven probably hit the nail on the head.

as jclaydon said the most common ones are aerial and sunroof seal but water in the footwell can be a blocked sunroof drain as they run from the sunroof down each front winow piller inside the car and them out near the front wheel arches, if they get blocked or split usually fills one of the front footwells with water which then runs into the back footwell. if your rad is fucked then it will be air in the system, keep an eye on your engine temp and get it replaced asap

i had that in my car, i had a very small leak in the rad, really small. think it caused air in the system.

replaced the rad, bleed the system and it never happend again.

my mates vtr has the same noise, when checked the rad and 'what do you know' small leak in the rad.

look for coolant deposits on the rad, they form when the water evapourates on the hot rad and leaves coolant scale ;)

easy enough to solve, takes about an 1hr max, follow the haynes manual for bleeding system once re-fitted. 3 blled points :)

try euro car parts for a rad, pritty cheap.

£39 for a new radiator sound good?

how can i see the whole drain pipe, not the ariel or sunroof but going to seal them anyway why not, but it could be a split lower down :afro:
