all depends on the company i believe. Your best bet is to give them a ring and say you "thinking" about lowering your car and see if will effect your qoute:)

Yes it does mate, one of the biggest premium hikers as it effects the stability of the car. Cloud said it was the thing that put his up the most and he had alloys and a full bodykit so its gonna sting

i thought that some companys only bother about performance mods, and it isnt. best idea is to ring them up, i know with my insurance it doesnt affect it too much i dont think.

ive rung them up and quinn direct do not increases the premium but you have to get an engineers report from a garage and also get it mot'd with it on.

lowering your car in a way is a performance mod they will see it as your handling/stability will be effected so they see it as you may have an accident easier etc etc plus lowering can help and sometimes not help with the aerodynamics to the car hence the performance bit to it.

tell your insurance mate it will be better in the long run, especially if you happen to have a smash. mine went up £128 with norwich union and £65 with NIG so all companys are different as i know that elephant wont charge you for it

Agree with Mark, just let them know.
I doubt it will increase your premium much if it does.

Insurance companies vary... Always phone to find out or otherwise, your policy could be made void.

Lowering... Yes, the car handles better (so it's safer), but because it handles better, you're more likely to drive it harder thus having more chances of causing an accident.

i rang them 5 mins ago and they said they want an engineers report filling in, and to get it MOT'd as well. good to know they dont stick up the premium.

yeah it does change the price but it depends on the insurance company, when i insured mine for a spoiler it raised my insurance up £70 and thats with admiral, they say cuz it makes the car look more desirable, gd luck
