what are the laws on the location and sizes of a front reg plates on a car?

so from reading that as long as the reg plate is the correct size and the letters are how they should be it can me located anywhere on the front of the car?

you can have small plates if you have a custom reg with only a few letters.
like B5 STU or whatever.
cant have funny fonts either.

I had a stick on plate on my old 03 STI with fmic, I got pulled a number of times. I had to explain that there was nowhere else for it to go because of the front mount. I never got fined but it might be worth bearing it in mind. Depends on your local police force I suppose:homme:
