i have brown, orange and yellow wires, can someone tell me which is positive and which is negative please for some rep, thanks in advance, Jake.

get a car bulb and put it between two wires,youll know which two cause the circuit that way,brown is 9 times outta 10 the earth

According to the Haynes manaul it states that the brown wire from the cigarette lighter is the "illumination" wire not earth.

yellow is live i belive and orange being earth

Brown is for the light in the cig lighter
Yellow is Positive
Orange is Negative
