Hi Guys,

I would just like to know how easy is it to fit a backbox to my saxo, i had a recommendation on my MOT to get a new one.

If it is easy could someone do a step by step for me to make it easier or should i buy the part and ask a mechanic to fit it?

I have not purchased this but any recommendations for a new back box will be brill i dont want it to loud but a nice deep sound would be nice and also the price i dont want to be a three figure sum?

Any help is brill!

Thanks :drink:

Very easy there are two bolts to undo/redo in the shape of a "O" clamp and two rubber exhausts hangers which you need to unhook.

Jacking the car up or whacking it on some ramps will make this a lot easier.

In saying that a local garage would plonk on it minutes for a coulpe of quid.

There a loads of different back boxes to choose from I'd have search.

Do the reverse of the above to fit it and stick you head under to car have a look at what your dealing with and all this will make more sense.

You may need to support the centre of the exhaust when removing the back back box as its likely to drop down a couple of inches.

I have a Citroen Saxo "Savage" exhaust back box 3.5" on the way..

The guy I've got it from says I need an "exhaust flange", he says all I need to do is tighten a few bolts, as he welded the supporting arms from his old back box onto this one.

Could I fit it on my own/with a mate?
Or do I need to take it round the garage?
