just been to my local car shop to price my new alloys (tsw pace) and the
man behind the counter told me they would be £530 with yokos i thought this wasnt a bad price then he told me to come back on monday to re price them cause he seems to think tsw are having some sort of sale so i might get them for cheeper he did say he couldnt promise this but how chuffed will i be if i get money off will post again on monday to inform if i do actualy get them cheeper

got quote again for my wheels and it turns out only some alloys are going cheaper 17" pace are cheap but 16" are not and i want 16" bugger :rage: shouldnt have got my hopes up never mind what can you do am still getting them though

its the tyres that are probably the killer.

dont know its not something i know much about but in my mind it makes sence that the bigger the tyre
the more it costs and vica versa but the guy in the shop said that i was getting 195/45/16 cause they are alot cheaper than 195/40/16 how much difference can 5mm make it dont make sence to me

its the diffrence betwen rubbing and not rubing

(depending how low your are)

Its actually more economics reason. 16's arent a hugely popular tyre size so production runs a small and therefore expensive (per tyre).

Lower profile promotes that sporty thingy that manufactures can exploit to increase profit margins.

diddnt think about it like that my car is not lowered at all i still have so much to learn cheers for the info
