was fitting some new door speakers today and i dropped a screw inside the door,so i put my hand in a pulled this out but what is it ????

everything still works fine i.e elec windows alarm/central locking etc etc

sorry about the bad pics was done on my phone,the only other thing i could think it was to do with was the door dosnt stay open on its own anymore just swings shut.

yep that looks like the door stay, have a look between the 2 door hinges about 2/3 up from the bottom one and see if the metal catch that bolts onto the bodywork from the door is still in 1 piece.

If it isnt get a new one for £15/20, if it is broke and your door opens too far itll cause quite a bit of damage depending on the force of which it swings open
