Well... the family and I "might" be moving house. We had an estate agent round on Saturday to do a valuation and we already have people looking at it today.

I'm not a very happy bunny. The house I live in... it's big(gish) but that's because I have a rather large family. We're right in the town centre so we have everything we need. If we move, we'd be looking at moving into something smaller. I wonder if my rent will go down :y:

Anyway... what I was wondering is how does moving house affect your credit rating? We've been at this current property for five and a half years. Before that, we lived around the corner but for three years. We're probably going to be staying in the same area, etc... but I don't think we'd be staying at the next house for very long.

Comments...

I'm not having anything to do with it mate... I don't want to go (for reasons you probably know. Well... you haven't been inside yet) :p

With regards to the credit rating... I mean it like when lenders ask for your address and previous if you've been there less than three years, etc...

You're on about buying an RS4, so surely you can afford a mortgage!

I'd rather have the RS4 than move into a place of my own though... Hehe!

Yes I will have it... but not yet and to be honest, this has come as a bit of a surprise. Otherwise, I would have planned for it.

I knew you'd say that Dan. Haha!!!

You'd know what I'd like... A garage with the RS4 and then me living above it in something like a loft room :)

I can sort you out ;) Look into it mate, ask your rents for a deposit! You never know, they might take all the rent you have been paying and give it back to you!

your credit rating will not be affected, they will ask you how long you have been at your current address, if it is less than 3 years they usually ask for your previous address, and so long as it has been over 5 years in total you should be fine and that goes for store cards as well !

(used to work at comet doing all the credit's etc)
