smileys/smiley7.gif This is annoying me now! Okay, here's the problem. Occasionally under braking, say approaching lights, when preparing to stop, my engine chooses to die on me. It only does it though as I start to press the clutch pedal down to the floor. This is the only time it does it, not whilst crusin or anything. There is nothing screamingly obvious to cause it, so I was hoping maybe someone else here has had a similar problem, or knows of a solution? I'd be dead chuffed with any help guys!

my old car did this!!!

its to do with air intake! so check ur intake hoses, filter(if u got 1 )and things to do with the flow of air!

it happens bcoz theres no enuff air being circulated thru the engine, so it will in effect cut out on u!

also it COULD be a more serious problem to do with the pistons!!!!! smileys/smiley19.gif do u occasionally, RAG ur car (over accelerate in low gears)when ur engine is still cold?
if u do, this could be a problem, with the oil not being hot enuff to lube the pistons enuff... so ur engine will get damaged!

also check egine timing, could be too slow idle speed.
