Oil Light

Hi guys ive just been driving my VTR then, and the oil light flased for a second then went off, then just as i got home it flashed again and went off, any ideas what this can mean guys? i have checked the oil levels and they are fine???

If youve got a late modle vtr it flashes at start up because its the change over year for the oil Somthing to do with the synthetic stuff needs to warm up or somthing like that i was told cant rember too much.

well its a 1998 model mate i know it comes on when u first start it then goes off, but this was in the middle of general driving, jus wondered if anyone had come across this before

Was it when you were goin round a corner/roundabout cause if the oil is low then is moves about more when goin round bends and stuff.

its called surge i fink matey.. all the oil runs to one side of the engine causing the some parts to be starved of oil...
