my car has been sorn of the road for the last 6 months and im only after insuring it again. right the thing i need to know is, is it al right to drive it if you are waiting for your insurance documents to come to tax the car?

i rang my local cop shop there now and they said that the car has to be taxed to be on the road.

fook sake.

You can only drive the car without road tax to the nearest MOT station otherwise its no go area and your looking at upto 5k fine mate.

Yes when you tax your car online it does a mot and insurance search, so if all of that is up to date, tax disc gets sent in the post. So easy now, no more messing about getting all your paperwork together then trying to find a post office open :y:

sorry to jump thread but my car currently off road (sorn) getting mot then get tax on it do i just take my insurance and mot and that to post office .it dont need another tax form? like the renual one
