Had my boot smoothed a few months back and the garage fitted a popper i got off ebay, but when i put the car back in the bodyshop to change my bonnet, they screwed up the popper and took it out, so i have purchased another one from ebay.see below

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=012&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=220067984987&rd=1&rd=1

And im basically stumped on how to put it in, Im not sure if the metal bar connects to the solonoid, or the boot latch, i have no idea how its mounted it came with a metal frame thing, but thier is nothing to hold it onto the frame. and im not sure which cables to use to get it to pop when i turn the rear wiper controls. Inside the boot thier is a block with 3 cables attached to it, and a cable on its own. and on the solonoid thier is a blue and a green cable, im pretty sure the blue is the live and the green is the earth. can anybody help? perhaps have some pix of how thiers looks fitted and which cables to connect.

alrite fella,

basically, the metal frame (meshy one) is for mounting the solenoid, the metal rod with goes through the hole on the solenoid at the top and is held in place with the round bit on the end of the rod.

you mount the solenoid parralell to the boot rod and attach it to the solenoid rod with the metal crew bracket

hope this helps

will try to get you some pics mate
