Ins - Hate it and just dont get it!!

Right just phoned my insurance company (diamond) and asked for my renewal quote.
With another years No claims,,, wait for it,,,, they quoted me a reduction of,,,, 59p!! :mental:

How does that work, Anyways, She asked if I would like to go ahead with it, so I obviously said NO, and told her I could find it much cheaper elsewhere and they were robbing b******s :oops:

She then said,'well phone us back with your cheapest quote, and I will see wot I can do' So, had a shop around, and found a MUCH cheaper quote, from wait for it,,,,,,,,,,Shit-fit, sorry Kwik-fit to those who didn't read the thread the other day! ;)

So, the point in this thread is to big up KWIK-FIT, cos there quote was over £30 cheaper a month, than wot im payin now and would never have thought to try them. (was recommended!!)

So now, all thats left to do is find another deposit, Again!! :panic:

Btw, it's cheaper to cancel your existing policy and start a new one than it is to re-new ;)

But... you'd then obviously have to pay the two months premium upfront as in reality, you are taking out a new policy.

Just phoned them. First she said she could reduce it by £50 (for the year), then when I said no chance, she said 'let me speak to my manager' She came back with £75 off the premium.

Still nowhere near Kwik fits quote.

Worked out I'd be paying £15 more a month after all reductions, and when I said cancel my policy at renewal, she said 'are you sure you wont change your mind'!!!! Yeah right, who would pay more when someone has offered it you cheaper!! Wot a laugh

Pretty happy with kwik fit though, decent quote :clapping:

£250 excess, which isn't bad cos im still under 25 (but not for long!!!)

Diamond tried to get me to stay by telling me they would include handbag theft insurance! Yeah right, bet if you tried claiming on that they would just tell you to sod off cos you shouldn't have left it in the car in the first place!!

They actually ask you for your cheapest quote so far and really try and beat it, and they did! :clapping:

Hmmm, Have to have a think now. Think alot of people have some complaints about there insurance companies. I personally hate Churchill, and believe me that is a very long story, It went on 12 month!!!

Will bear in mind, I don't need to make my mind up till end of this month.
