Hello mate, in my opinion do these;
Arch modifications, rolling the arches to allow alloys and lowering
Alloys
Lowering
'Smiley' grill off a later model MK1 saxo
Dark angel eyes
Smoked foglights
Pug 206 Arial
MK1 VT spoiler, the one that comes off the roof of the boot
Smoked rear ultra clusters
Uprgade the interior to a VT model interior as they are much comfier and hold the body better, aswell as looking better
Alarm
If you like your music a sub, amp and a set of decent component speakers
A nice exhuast, you get what ya pay for no ebay shite really
Mirror caps
De-Wiper
Avoid;
Lexus lights
Neons
Limo tints just on the back
Sunstrips
Vinyls/decals ebay resistors/chips
Few ideas for you mate, then theres induction kits, strut braces, the list goes on really

To start with mate, for me its the alloys to save for. Whilst saving spend a bit on the little things like the arial and mirror caps. When the alloys are on you can start having fun with the grill etc. Try and do DIY jobs to save money.
