Bonnet Catch help rep given

Right i have a 2001 mk2 saxo on the bonnet for the catch i only have 2 pull the lever inside and my bonnet opens because the other catch doesn't work because it is broken the car is going for it mot soon is this an mot failure does any one know any help would be great.

i dont think it will

it would be if you couldnt open it

but might be cause of the safety of it as it could fly open

Na man a doubt they will fail that we do mots in ma work n they dnt fail things like tht probs just advise you

in the manual it lists things to def check for the mot and no mention of bonnet catch. maybe say to them so they can get in the engine bay tho mate...

nah you just pull the leaver in the car and it opens will be fine i would think just wasn't 100%

if the bonnet still opens then it will pass, just get it sorted just in case it flys open on a journey and the effects are really nasty

lol i got another bonnet coming tomrrow but will need to be smooth before it goes on i will extend the handle on that before it goes on

yeah your right, one of my customers said her daughter was drivin her clio, and the bonnet flew up for no reason and smashed the winscreen while she was drivin, she was shook up but alright. now you dont want that happening do you???

No i wouldn't want that happening as well i would probaly crash when the bonnet comes flying up but you know risk i take
