Hi there my rear window demisted button has never seemed to work, the warning light button clicks on and off but the rear window button has never clicked, I went to my local scrappy this morning and got a button from a saxo, doesent click and still doesent work.
Had checked the fuse when I first realised it didnt work havent checked it again.
Any ideas , should it click should a light come on in the button ?
Thanks

i think they click but a lights never come on, on mine, they dont work the same as the hazard one they click on- and stay on for about 20mins i think then turn them selves on so i think its just a push to make switch.

uve replaced your button with another so most likley not a button prob, never removed one but is the actuall contacts of the switch to? but there is a slight chance on this button not working to. you checked ur back windscreen usually theres a connection onto the windscreen and then check the path(thin black line in windscreen) any scratches ect breaking the track cant stop it from working as its a circuit, i know u can get repair kits but dont know how easy they are.
id see how mine is on me vtr but g/f has it at mo :s i know when i use my button the lights comes on but its not very bright and cant rember there being a definate clicking sound. but ill have a check tonight

I'd check the connection on the rear window, make sure it's all good.

get a new switch, make sure it has the small springs in each side and make sure you get the hole switch

checked on mine last night the switch doesnt click like the hazard button does, so theres no clicking noise, try it at night in the dark, the button should be slightly illuminated like the hazard button and goes brighter as u push it. i noticed with mine diring daylight u cant realy tell, there are two connections on the windscreen try both, low down in each corner, if after u done this do u know any1 with a bit of electrical knowlegde and a multimeter then could do a few tests at the connections at the window swicth ect
