When I had my fiesta (which was worth about 500 quid!) I always went tpft.
But having my saxo, and guessin its worth £2000 I always insure it fully comp. To me it's worth it in the long run. Id rather pay an extra £150 a year, where I don't miss it, Than having to fork out another £2000!! Which I would miss!!
Kwik-Fit quoted me £700 fully comp on my vtr. Im well happy with that!

I don't think that is very good to be honest. I'm the same age as you although I have 4 years NCB. I pay £381 fully comp on my VTR with all mods declared and a named driver with 7 points on his license on my policy and my NCB is protected which costs about £50 so it would have been about £320 fully comp. When I quoted for a VTS it was only £150 more
That's with Diamond

When the 10 months is up, with the bonus accerlarator you will get 1yrs NCB so it should come down. I'd wait until to change your car. Diamond like you to put people on your policy for some reason. Putting your mum on especially will bring it down. I paid £715 fully comp on my VTR at 18 with 1yrs NCB. I think I must have a really good postcode lol

not really mate
The thing is with insurance companies that their quotes and prices vary all the time, and some times it can appear to be for no apparent reason! So you can never say "ah yeah, so and so is defo cheaper than ...", however, we all know that there are the generally cheaper companies and the generally more expensive companies
As for QUINN, i'm 19, 1 years NCB, 0 claims, 0 crashes, 0 points
(Obviously dad is main driver) £50 a month! ( comes out at £600 a year)
That aint half bad, especially as a quick qoute from gocompare doesnt even give quinn that price ( its 1,300 or something) and the next cheapest was still well over a grand, so even if i am on my dads, it aint half cheap!
