Tackeled my little 1.1 engine today, only a quick 25min job, used tin foil to cover battery and a few other connections and used the below products to clean and treat:

Yes i know my rocker cover is a state but its being delt with soon, and the manifold cover.

not igf it doesnt touch the terminals :P she fired up right as rain just after i cleaned it, so cant of done any harm!

theres always a chance of it touchine trminals

its the same with tools you never leave them on the battery

just put a bag over it next time

Tin foil is a no - no lol. I left a tool on the batt of a brand new car once! went on fire, melted the extension and socket, goosed my ratchet..........lesson learned :fcuk:

Looks well nice though mate!!!! You colour coding the rocker cover and manifold cover then?

nice pic i had mine steamn cleaned the other week and coated in some shiney stuff no joke acually looks brand spankin new!! not bad loking for 132k on the clock!
