Well I rang up Citroen Finance today to get a settlement figure on my VTR. Basically Louise has been given £4,000 by her parents because they have sold their house - so we decided to pay off my car and finish the rest of her loan.

I asked the women for a settlement figure for the car as it stands today - £3,018.54 in which I borrowed £3,848.33 back in July (started paying in August) but I thought for some reason - due to the Interest I would of been paying more back.

After my next payment, it's going to be £2,856.93 I'll owe so I'm going to use £800 for my wages and £2,000 from Louise so I'll have my car paid off. I'm well chuffed but now I gotta save for my £1,200 insurance.

Would be best, we agree to use £3,000 of her money to pay off my car but I thought I would comprimise so she could have her loan totally paid off aswell, only reason we said pay off the car is because it's a Term loan whereas hers is FlexiLoan (pay as much as you want, when you want).

Yeah true mate, I always worry if I crash it and I'm buggered because of the finance, but I won't have to worry.

Will be nice to say I own my car and it's paid for.

I only took the finance over 2 years anyway - car would of been 5 years old by then but it's nice to know I'm 19 years old with a 3 and half year old car paid off.

I told her once she has paid it off, I was gonna sell it and buy a VTS.

All I got was 'You can f**k off...'.

that may well be true, but im sure they wont charge luke interest! nor will they realy mind how long it takes him to pay back, im sure

The money her parents are giving her, is HER money as it's been given as a late xmas/21st Birthday present - so it's up to her what she does with it.
