Guys,

My Grill has faded on the car so I want to get it looking good again. I was tempted to colour code at the same time, but not sure how that would look.

So, I think I have decided just to spray it Matt Black, but surely I would be ok just to wash down the grill, let it dry and then spray?

Thanks.

you could do but would get a better finish if you did the following
cleaned it
wet and dried it (P400)
primer
wet and dry (P600)
primer
colour x3
laquer x4-6

thats how i did mine.

Sounds a bit complicated for my liking.

Might just buy another grill.

I might have a gander on Ebay, seen them on there before.

I think Mike just sprayed his VTS Grill with primer and then matt black paint, looks fine to me but we will see.

Cheers Mark.

its not hard to do as long as your happy with the paint finish then its alright. just laquer it to fook to make sure that the paint wont chip off.

if your painting it black is it not going to be easier and cheaper to use something like Auto Glym Bumper Care??

Tried the bumper care mate, but all the paint on the grill it's self has faded.

I might nip down to Halfords.

I'm gonna go to Halfords now and buy some matt black paint.

What colour primer should I get?

wont matter.

But make sure you wet sand the primer with 1500 grade... gets it super smooth and gives an awesome finish

Never went to get the paint in the end.

Louise called me, she was quite upset with something so I had to get off down there.
