anyone on here SIA? i gota do my door licence exam and wondered how hard it is and the place i worked for is stopping cash in hand stuff so need to licence up

cant help you with what ever you just asked man but I'm curious as to what the SIA is... something to do with Bouncers ya?

my brother done this course when he became a bar manager as they offered it to him...
when he gets in I will ask him some details about it

my mate has just done got his badge and it cost £600 for everything. he said it was a piece if piss. just a written test and then physical type of exam. but with the size of him im guessing no-one dared to tell him that he'd failed, lol

was going to (still might) get this for some security work etc, some companys put you through it apparently

yeah the goverment have set rules and regs that say u cant do security work unless ur SIA registered/qualified, its a test in two parts. before i used to work cash in hand doing private events for a company with a few other security lads but i stopped it for a while but they want me back for occasional work so i have to do the sia now.

shit that seems alot its only £390 here but then there are different types of SIA licensing from door work to cctv its all different. any way i got to get it sorted but the company is or may pay for some jsut sorting it all out now
