Yo am 17 yo not passed test all that long and have my heart set on getting a Saxo. I want a good one to mod and I am more into the looks of the car (and potential looks) rather than the engine power and mods U can make to it. Is there any difference in different models of saxos ie in age are older ones different ? Plus has anybody any clue what the insurance would be like and what would be better / cheaper between the VTS / VTR and 1.1 ... obviously the 1.1 will be cheaper insurance, but is it possible to get insurance on a VTS or VTR at my age and if so what is the difference on price between the cars and insurance... Any help would be great Cheers smileys/smiley16.gif

u would be better off all round for insurance on a 1.1... and for looks the 1.4 is better and easier to mod

probably a BIG difference between 1.1 and VTS insurance.
But with a bit extra money you can make your 1.1 look like a vts.

Door moulds and run strip & VT bumpers and arches what you'll be looking at from a scrap yard.
Depending on what kit you want to put on it and when you can just get the moulds and strips.

There is always the option of a VTR/s engine transplant into the 1.1 at a later stage.

Thats basically the route i'm taking, moulds and strips and wheel arches, with kit bumpers, and a transplant when i'm older and it's cheaper insurance.

Try living in a room full of irish, scottish and geordies, all understanding each other perfectly and the 4 english lads not even catching a word, with a Welsh instructor trying to teach technical shit and absolutelly no one understanding him!

The only words we ever understood ftom him were "Ey up bud" and it was never to any of us.
