k i got my alloy wheels (17's) now i gotta try cutting the arches i know it involves at the back cutting it rather high all the way round the front i have heard that you dont really.. have to cut it as high as the back.. and some hammering inside the wheel arches.. but was i was wonderig is the bumper bracket. is it COMPLETELY neccesery to remove it cas my bumper is already wonky as fuck at the back. how the hell would i screw it on if the bracket isnt there :panic: :panic:

Also lol yes i have the haynes modifying manual before anyone posts that. :P

yup kiss goodbye to your brackets then cut them off and bin it. i assume the bumper just stays on using the other brackets.

Dag NAMIT! but how the hell do i hold it on at the sides wont it just bulge out? i have had this problem before, what is the most stronggest thing i can use to either bond the sides in after i have cut the arches or what?

a up mate im having trouble aswel geting my 17's to fit, i had to cut my washer jet bottle up and remold it ,and stil dont fit on the back, think i might have to take the bumper brackets of aswel,aint reli had time to look

im just not sure how tyo get my bumper back and aligned nice and neat, i know how to do rest to be honest. just not sure on back bumper :(, i mean i can probably bond it in but i doight it would hold and it would prolly look shit. so if anyone has any suggestions? i also though about just cutting a little bit away from the bumper bracket bits. like make them smaller?

nooooooo its come back to haunt lol
when they took my bumper brackets they bonded the bumper back on i think and sealed up any holes after the liners were took out :y:

What did they seal the hole up with? i got a load of shit going into the engien bay and spraying into the door ect.. because i took out my liners?

bin the 17's and run 15's the a true man's wheels!! :P
yeah you have to cut off the bumper brackets at the rear, on my old westy i put a small tapper in to keep the rear arch and bumper together.
also trimmed the edge of the bumper to stop rubbing, you can see here:

yer i wasnt really wnating ti cut any of the panels trim them you know like the bumper :( is the optional? i know i have to obviously cut the metal arches and shit, but do i have to cut the plastic panels edges?

am not sure what they did mate think the arch needs to be took off and the lip cut back, theres a guide in the saxo modifications tab up the top :y:
