driving to college today, about 10 mins into the journey i started hearing a grinding noise from the rear (i think) as i slowed down an picked off, after i start moving it stops.
i checked the rear wheels an the passenger side seems quite close to the inner side of the arch but not touching (inner side of the wheel)
any suggestions? thanx

i would say check your brakes , as you say it happened whilst you were slowing down , possibly just worn brake pads.

thanx for the reply
but my brakers were just changed about a month ago, av had a look again an the rear passenger tyre is much closer to the inside of the arch (closest to the centre of the car) than the other tyre i think its rubbing as i slow down, what could cause this?
also when it starts to rub i seem to slow down alot quicker

jus took it to the garage an he seems to think its a caliper which is sticking on the rear, he's kept it in and is gonna have a better look, so you were basically right lol so have some rep :y:

well the guy said he couldnt find anything wrong with the caliper but replaced the pads as they seemed abit thin (hmmm he was meant to have put new pads on at MOT time which was only about 4-6 weeks ago) seems fine now, but the pads he put on aint great i'll need to get new ones :n: gutted
he asked me if i'd been handbrake turning the car :omg: was offended lol
