what is the difference between the rear of a mk1 and mk2 106

as title, i have chance of a mk1 106 xsi with a 106 gti engine, etc. It has a mk2 font end, bonnet, wings and headlights etc. it has the full gti kit on, i was just wondering what is difference is between the mk1 and mk2 rear. Is it just the rear lights and tailgate? or are the rear quarters different? just thought i could make the rear look like mk2 aswell, mite sound stupid, i just want a new project now my sax is done. wanting a supercharged 105 gti now :P . the surround around the lock for the boot is different, and a different rear bumper if i'm right.. different lights too

yea, it has the gti rear bumper on so that aint a problem. so i just need a tailgate and lights off a mk2 and they will fit straight on the mk1???

i would say so but the mk1 lights are slightly different in shape to the mk2 i belive shouldn't be too hard think it must be just the tailgate

Just looks like the rear lights and the tailgate, not sure if the wiring for the lights are any different though.
