where do i begin??!! i bought my vts in october 2004 had to replace the front discs and pads coz discs had cracks in, then soon after had to change the starter motor. in december 04 the head gasket went so did an engine rebuild replacing main bearings, big end bearings, piston rings, oil seals, valve stem seals. also replaced radiator, thermostat, clutch, cat and in 2005 the geabox decided to break as i was driving to work, so replaced that and ended up sending the new box back under warranty coz it was shite!! and now ive gotta replace passenger side wheel bearing! oh the joys of owning a saxo, i do love her tho!!!

Well...
Ive had my saxo for 4 months now and been driving it 3 months...
After 1 month of having my saxo my headgasket went. Me, my bro n dad sorted this on the drive so nothing expensive.
Then had to get some welding done for the MOT.
Then on my 3rd month of owning it, i was driving along at 35mph in 5th gear and my engine just turned off. My bro (who is a mechanic) has done work on it and said that i need a new engine because my crankshaft has snapped.
Seriously, i wish i never bothered having a saxo! I love the cars but from my 1st experience and its my first car... I wish i never bothered.
When i get the new engine im selling it.

i see alot of people going on about "new rear pads" or warping dics etc etc
New rear pads are just car maintenance, warped discs is your own fault.... nothing to do with a "problem" with the car as such....
Like replacing worn wishbones etc, its all general up keep of a car.
Things such as rusted bodywork, gasket failures, ECU problems etc is what i would class as "problems" or "faults" with the car, not having to replace brake pads lol
