MOT tomrrow :(

Got my MOT tomorrow morning, and not looking forward to it, i know things WILL need fixed :(

few questions on some things that i know are wrong with the car

Handbreak light stays on constantly, even when the handbreaks off

Front squirter doesnt work

Front wiper is missing a clip, so goes crazy when you have the wipers on mega fast

half a back wiper (lol)

and the breaks seem terrible on the car (dunno if they will need replacing or not)

was just wondering, will any of these make it fail the MOT?i know that if the breaks need replacing it will

a few bits on there will fail - tell them before the MOT and ask them to fix it first

Yeah the front washer will fail if there's not sufficient spray over the windscreen, brakes will if there are shot, not sure about the handbrake light though.

before you take it in, chuck some brake fluid in... might be that its low so it stays on... I had thay problem in the sax and it sorted it out

How do you know it's the handbrake and not just something else as a warning? Surely the back wiper would fail if it's half there? Unless it still works? :err:

cant see the rear failing tobh, as the new company car we got "passat" doesnt even come with rear wipers lol so cant be a legal requirement

yeah you can dewiper i think an be fine but if its there an not working it might fail

you can de-wiper and pass, if you have a wiper on that is in bad condition it will fail...

Same as the spare tyre, if its not there its fine, if it is and in bad state, it will fail

If the squirter doesnt work then its a fail! Crap!
The handbrake light on mine was always on due to my faulty ABS.
But im guessing the 1.1 doesnt have ABS?

cost me £10,plus the cost of the MOT, so £34 :P

me uncle did it for me, so just passed it on all the little things, but had to fail it on the front break pads being worn, so he stuck a new set on for me, for £10 i would have got them done, even if i didnt have to
