Hey,

I washed my car today using Halfords advanced car wash and then polished it with their show room shine kit. I got it for christmas along with other sponges...etc you get.

I did it all in 30mins, not to bothered about having it really super clean anyways.

Here are some pics, i think it actually came up very well for cheap stuff, I was very pleased. All pics were taken with my V3 razor, no not the best, sorry.

There we go. Thats the only one really showing more of the car.

EDIT: I could not really take any good pics from the side as my dads car was on the drive aswel, also I was going out soon to pick my girlfriend up from college.

Hey everyone, thanks for all the commnets, here are some pics of the whole car taken this morning. I did do a bit over 30 miles last night so it has a slight dust on the side panels below the door but I dont think my phone camera picks these up anyways.

Detailed process please mate! The Furios the same silver as yours but whenever i wash it it doesnt come up like that.

I do rinse, clean every panel with poorboys and a wash mitt with the two bucket method, power wash arches, clean the wheels and then waffle it dry. Then glass cleaner using newspaper and all the interior stuff. Then tyre cleaner spray can foam on the tyres, leave for ten minutes then wipe down and use tyre shine.

Have you got polish on your paint? Ive got one of those challenger two argos specials buffers but i never really use it.

And back on subject that posi blue one came up really nicely, nice one ;)

Yeah sure man
hosed down with pressure washer.
washed car with cheapy shampoo and sponge (single bucket method)
leave to dry.

to make it look really shiny just take a picture at near parallel to the surface. like what i did and everyone else does. put a bright light source in the back ground :y:

Fair enough. I reckon i may be using too much on it then it takes me about an hour and a half to do. Will look a lot better in the summer when you can actually see the effects and it doesnt get filthy instantly. Doesnt help that the old saxo was posi blue and the shine is a million times better for half the effort so i have high standards lol

Looks nice cleaned mate. Good result for the sheap stuff.

Ben, try using just some middle of the road shampoo. Like ad said, i found pressure washing it, then a shampoo made silver look nice.

I use a mitt and think its ace, just wondered though. Whats the deal with using a sponge? What difference does it make?

Yeah i probably will, bit pointless all the top of the range cleaning stuff on a silver car. But the mitts better than a sponge as it doesnt get grit caught in the face so you cratch the paint. I prefer it cause it goes on your hand and its less effort than holding the sponge lol
