just read the thread of one of the boys who is on holiday in lanzorote, c8james, i remember when i was there, there was loads of lads driving round (in the gorgeous sun) in some nice vts'. (i guess most cars look nice in the sun!!) anyway, i heard that alot of foreign vts are in fact not the same as our's. they are 1.4 16v/8v. there are some examples in the car pics from abroad on this site. have you guys heard this??? if so, how come???

different rules on engines on the continent or something, think we are the only place or one of the only places to get the 1.6 16v vts

Pretty sure they dont have a 1.4 16v.

Thought it was just the same as over here but they just call it 1.4 VTS although its still only 8v.

Yeah as far as i know the VTS is a 'Cup', i think it might be something else different to everywhere else in Portugal for some reason. The VTR came in 1.4 and 1.6 8v's i doubt they would use a 1.4 16v as they would have no reason to develop one when they already have the 1.6 unit which puts out the same power ish. They dont have Furios, Westcoasts, Eastcoasts and probably all the models like Open Scandal etc that have random names.

no such thing as a Saxo with a factory fitted 1.4 16v engine!

all the engines are the same as the ones we have here, they just have different names

our furio is called a VTR in europe, our VTR is known as a VTS and our VTS is known as a Saxo Cup! if you unerstand that lol!

And you can get VTR 1.4 8v's in Ireland too. And they came with passenger airbags and other options that we get on VTS's. All very random

no some other countries have them as well, or same but called cup etc... france and the uk were not the only places to have vtr/s configurations as we know them
