tried getting my torsion bar done today with stevenet15 doig it for me and it got round to getting it out and the bloddy thing is siezed in! so he couldnt do it today. hoping to get me mate to do it for me in the next couple of weeks. big thnaks to steve tho top bloke!:y:

gutting mate, hope mine isnt seized. if it is what do i do? just keep wd40'ing it and smacking it with a hammer?

im not really 100% what to do but i was told that it needed heating up so it would come out

Anyone I have came across is always seized , they are a right bugger.
Hammer you say? I suggest a big ol' sledgehammer :D

lol what did you hit? use a metal bar against the torsion bar or something?

some mechanic working in my garage just now used to work in a citroen garage and borrowed some tool off the dude for doing the job

thanks mate, soz i couldnt get it done, basicly sprayed everything with releasant spray at the start, then tried taking it out with a socket and bolt 2 pull it through which 80% of the ones i have done normally come out with jsut that but no luck, so sprayed a load more releasant spray and then tryed using the socket and bolt one end while hitting the other end with bar and hammer which normally unseises the ones that didnt come out with the first step, could have used a slide hammer but the slide hammers are no where near as good as the socket and bolt tequnique. the next step it to do it again as i was but to heat the toursion bar ends up with a blow tourch (which i didnt have ) and then try hammering it while pullign it with the socket and bolt. both were seised in which is also odd as normally it just the rear one on most of the saxos i have lowered. let me know how he gets on mate, also the releasent spray i put on it might works its way in abit since i tryed doing it this morning so it might be easyer next time
