Advise on a VTR!

I need the engine cleaned!
Anyone recommend any products I should use to clean the engine?
Or anyone have any tips/tricks?
It's a VTR engine, btw...

a lot of people recommend the Auto Glym engine cleaning stuff

need some kind of de greaser gunk is what i use

cover up all main electrical bits (battery, coil pack etc) with plastic bags

suse a light jet of water all over try and avoid electrical areas

spray de greaser on and leave for 5 mins

brush down use toothbrush for little places

spray water on to wash off

dry

job done

it might take a few goes to get all clean

every now and again just wash with soapy water

cover the electrics and use i would recomend auto gly products from halfords not 2 expensive
