stevenet15
8th February 2007, 09:13
yeah running gti6 aswell, they must fit as there the same length and fittings as standard ones but are made from braided hose. it will take the spoungyness out of the brake pedal as normal hoses expant a little under pressure but with the braided hose it reduces it alot which makes the brakes respond quicker

stevenet15: get a proper thread up on SSC and keep it up-to-date (i.e. like first post in this thread). you would have a better chance of reaching a decent number.
I am wanting some, but I’m hesitant to post on here as I very rarely visit this site.
Check to see if there is a difference between hose kits for 'non VTR/VTS Saxo’s', 'Saxo VTR/VTS', '106 GTI', '106 Rallye' etc etc. If there is a difference, see if you can work it so that they’ll also count in the group buy.
Also consider posting on Rallye Register.
I know it is more work, but it could well be worth it in the end.

If Mystic and Matt joined, we'd have 10 . **wink wink nudge nudge** lol.
If your planning on getting them some time, you might as well get them when they are cheap. Although i'm all to familiar with trying to ease spending. Last month was utter hell for me (replacing my rear windscreen twice in two weeks didn’t help), this month is uber crap as well, but pay day next week :) . really need to budget from then.
stevenet15
12th February 2007, 12:08
ok looks like the cut off line is gona be saturday and them payment being made next week
Mystic
12th February 2007, 12:20
Right ill try make my decision by mid week then so that the numbers are up before the last few days. PIMP the thread people lets get 15 people :P
GaryL
12th February 2007, 12:44
As I said by PM to Steve, if there are say 12 people on the list by the end of the week, I may be in the position to buy a few extra to add up the 15 so we could get the full discount. I could then possibly hold them to the end of the month for any latecomers to the group buy, then sell them on ebay after that. Having the choice of stainless or plain ends mightn’t be the case though.
I’m pretty confident there will be 15 people though.
Steve, do you have any idea how long it would take from when payments are made to delivery date?
GaryL
12th February 2007, 13:07
another guy from RR as joined the group buy:

i think that the stainless ends are chrome look lol and that there more durable as in there a stronger bolt so for say rally cars etc,.. who take the brakes off alot then its a better option for them as less likely to round the bolt off

It's worth a shot I guess. Before I fire them an e-mail, how many people would be interested in a group buy if they offered them at the same/ similar price as time?
Noddy
24th May 2008, 22:53
I may be interested - however, i'm looking for an odd fitment if it is the case - i've got a 1.1 but with a set of vt callipers waiting to go on.... which hoses would i need???
Liam_
25th May 2008, 10:41
They do a set of hoses for the VTR/S and another for the 1.1 etc. Not sure which ones you'd need bud.
Noddy
25th May 2008, 10:57
gathered that, but on one end its the standard 1.1 fitment and on the other i'll have vt callipers so would need vt fitment ???
