Got myself a new PC in work today and linking up my ipod Nano with it was pretty straight forward.

Instead of using ITunes....I basically copying the music onto Windows media player and then copy to Ipod device....When opening the Ipod on computer you can see music in folders. But when look on ipod it shows no songs are present on the harddrive?

Any help?

Can you only use Itunes to transfer music onto the new phase ipod nanos?

I think its because you are using the ipod as just an external hard drive! As far as i can gather, the only programme that can put music onto an ipod is iTunes!
