Exhaust Heat Shield - Problem???

While under my Saxo fettling, I thought I would remove my annoying rattling noise by junking the exhaust heat shield.

However its now exposed the handbrake cables etc.

Is this a problem would you think? I.E weather?

Hmmm tough one, are you talking about the shield in the center of the car?

grease the cables and all should be fine
