theres a electrical plug that is on your gear box, worth checking that with it off u loose your speedo and milage!

I've hard of this before happened to amate of mine who had an MR2, think his problem was the Speedometer cable that attached the transmission to Odometer cluster.
in the meantime do you have a sat nav? might be an idea to use that for a speedo, till you can get it fixed mate!

u need some one with a vts to give u an idea of speed at certain revs, my vtr in 5th is doing 30 on the first marker over 1000 revs. not very accurate but close enough, should be different in a vts im guessing

i know that in 5th gear at about 3000rmp im doing around 60mph, 30mph i havent a clue about tho.. what are the chances of it being the cable into the clocks?

i ment is it a common thing to go on saxos.. or is the sensor more likely to have given in

Ive had this b4 on my vts mate, all i did was checked all fuses 2 see if they were ok, which they were, and the next time i started it up it worked, so it cudda been abit of shit somewhere in the fuse box, i dont know but it worked anyway, maybe worth just trying that.
