hi im trying to colour code my dashboard.. i have read the 'how to' section but i cant remove the heater knob from the centre section, so does anyone know how. Also i want to colour code the section infront of the steering wheel around the instrument cluster, i have removed the two top screws but there are two other screws on the bottom but the plastic section that the ignition barrel and steering wheel are connected to is in the way!!! is there anyway of removing these screws easily

take the panel off arounf the switches (indicators) and ignition barrel, then undo 3 bolts holding the steering coloumn in place, it should drop down enough for you to get at the screws and to take the suround out, but disconnect the battery for ten mins before you start as always :y:
as for the heater know it should just pull out

the heater knob, whether its the fan speed one or the actual heat one you're talking about, should just pull off.

cheers i managed to pull the heater knob off but the surround around the head up display is a ****! ive removed all the trim around the steering wheel and unscrewed the indicator stalks but the screws at the bottom of the trim are still not possible to get at!! am i missing something or are they just impossible to remove easily!!

just drop the coloum mate, 3 bolts holding it in and it should drop enough for to to get to them :y:

hi i cant see these bolts newhere where r they located? dont suppose uve got pic!
