hi i just wanted to know how much adding a set of aftermarket wheels, 16'' or 17'' would add to an insurance premium, what have you lot found when declaring them, im17 so someone who has had a quote around that age would be useful bt any advice appreciated, thanks guys :p

Every insurance company is different so you would have to call up yours...
I fitted vts rims to mine and my policy went up by £32 per year... but it would have been the same price for me to fit aftermarket rims...
Im with norwich union...

EDIT: Im 19, but named on my mothers insurance...

you won't get quoted, as soon as you tell them your age and that you've got aftermarket alloy wheels they'll say they can't insure you :panic:

Thats why you tell the your only thinkin about addin alloys. Norwich union charged me 40quid! n thats only for 6 months, although iv also declared exhaulst and induction kit, which was another 120quid and im 20

im guna go with quinn any one no if they will insure me with the wheels, and what happens if i just dinttell the insurance company about them, after all there only wheels
