I've got a '98 vts and the central locking isn't working, it works with the key fine, i've changed the batteries in the fob but it still doesn't work off that? Any ideas? Cheers Adam.

think you have to programme the fob after changing the battery am now sure, does the key just open the door or does it operate then central locking

im sure i read something on here how you can code your own key fob by putting your key in your ignition and holding down the lock button on your key fob.
dont know if it works though

To re-programme fob you unlock car using the key and with in 30 seconds press the lock button twice on the fob.
Then try locking and unlocking car, this is how you reprogramme fobs according to autodata cd.

The key opens both doors and the boot fine so don't think it's a problem with the central locking as such. I guess it is just the fob. Thanks for the replies i'll try them out and let you know if i have any luck.

i have the same problem, i took it to citroen and they told me that the roof aerial was leaking, and has damaged the sensor. if your gettin water in the interior light, chances are the infa red sensor has been damaged by water. they quoted me £300 for a new sensor
