View Full Version : saxo making a rubbing and bumping noise

its making a loud noise when i start driving but the faster i go the louder & worse it goes :(:(

it doesnt rattle my stearing tho & brakes r fine

i took off the wheel from the passenger side where it sounds as it's comeing from and pushed - pulled ECT... hub but no movement on bearing so i dont know what it is!!

it also gets worse when turning but doesnt sound like a driveshaft what could it be?? i might be wrong it could be eather drive shaft or bearing pls help cheers maccas VTR

Prob the fan belt or worse case clutch on the way out dude....

no sorry m8 it's not that type of noise its a driveshaft - bearing noise and its canstant whilst driving but the faster i go the faster it does :(:( pls help some one :(

Sorry mate my fault been a long day i was thinking you said a squeaking noise lol think im loosing it?

Your noise sounds like a wheel bearing.

not always movement on hubs when wheel bearings have gone,you think its frm p/s/f could be p/s/r or d/s/f wheel bearings have way catching you out when tryin find which one has gone

Yep as has been said theres not always movement, but one still could be shagged!

could it be the inner arch plastic cover rubbing on the wheel??

nothing trapped in engne bay and catching on a belt!

na m8 i havent got roung to replacing them yet lol so haven't got any on the car at the moment...

p.s. i think its defo the p/s/f/ as when our lass is in the car she can feel a slight knocking aswell but i dont thing it is the drive shaft as there is nothing leaking and it doesnt sound like a drive shaft problem like i have had on many other cars in the past cheers i thing im just going to rip my hub to bit's on the week end as i got told today that the bearings might of dried up and that could be the problem??? so im going to change both front ones and if it aint them i might smash the fkn car up :(:( ARGGGG lol

also i just noticed that the stering is heavy when turning & also it clicks whilst turning almost to full lock ( just 1 click sound tho :(:( )

lol na m8 our lass would kill her self in it and it would be 2 dear for me to buy lol + i have done lot's n lot's 2 my car now inc.. a 1 off spray job :( lol wish it would stop being a shit lol
